The Very Inspiring Scrubs Magazine

Scribbled by Perky |

If you’re a nurse, or in the health industry, or if you’re into health topics in general, there’s a new pretty cool online magazine website just for you. Scrubs is unlike other nursing sites as it has a lot of information on good living – from mind, beauty, health, work, love, money to news & entertainment. This site is very inspiring, uplifting, and timely yet original.

The site can be pretty fun, too. There’s a nursing poll in which you can vote for your favourite fictional portrayal of a nurse. I voted for Greg Focker (the character that was portrayed by Ben Stiller in the movie Meet the Parents). I voted for him because I love Ben Stiller and he was so hilarious playing the part of a male nurse. However, he’s currently 3rd on the list 

The tip jar section is also something I enjoyed reading. It’s a place where you can find great tips that seasoned nurses give to the new ones on the floor. Though most of us are not nurses, we all have at one point or another have been through a heartbreaking or sometimes comical situationsand it is in this tip jar section that you will find the answers to challenging situations.

For instance, how do you deal with an angry patient? Well, no one likes to be yelled at, so our natural response would be to yell back at the person. If you want to know how to deal with such situations, the tip jar is the section to read. Anyway, I’ve enjoyed reading the articles on the site, so do spare some time to visit their site.

They Pay You to Hack?

Scribbled by Perky |

Remember that Hackers movie that came out in ’95? It was about a group of kids who discover a plot to unleash a dangerous computer virus and they use their great computer skills to find the evidence while being pursued by the NSA and the mastermind behind the virus. This movie practically made being a hacker a pretty cool thing.

But you know what’s not cool? Hackers writing viruses that have the capability to cripple major Internet sites. Imagine having someone switch your identities with another person or emptying your banking account as you’re about to make an online transaction. The hacker did all that from the comfort of his living room while he’s munching on burritos.

It is because of threats like this that companies everywhere around the world are taking measures to counter the attacks of hacking. This has seen a growing demand for ethical hackers to test the security of companies systems and networks.

“An ethical what?” you say?

An Ethical Hacker is someone who is usually employed with the organisation and can be trusted to undertake an attempt to penetrate networks and/or computer systems using the same methods as a Hacker. The goal of the Ethical Hacker is to help the said organisation take preemptive measures against malicious attacks by attacking the system himself while staying within legal limits. This concept is the same as the proven practice of “the best defence is a good offense”, or “to catch a thief, you got to think like one”.

The CEH Program certifies individuals in the specific network security discipline of Ethical Hacking from a vendor-neutral perspective. The Certified Ethical Hacker certification will strengthen the application knowledge of security officers and professionals, auditors, site administrators and anyone who is apprehensive about the integrity of the network infrastructure.

Basically, a Certified Ethical Hacker is a skilled professional who understands and knows how to look for the weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems and uses the same knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker.

EC-Council can train you to become an Ethical Hacker and you can benefit from rising pay/jobs IT Security sector despite the economic downturn. They offer training in Security Fundamentals, Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Computer Forensics, Disaster Recovery and Secure Programming categories. For details, please visit the EC-Council website.

ATV Rollover Danger

Scribbled by Perky |

There's this show on TV called Whacked Out Sports that I enjoy watching especially when I'm feeling down and in need of cheering up by laughing at others. I like the ones that highlight the crazy things people do on skateboards, rollerblades, motorbikes and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). Oh, especially the ATVs. People do all sorts of crazy things with it, such as going on steep hills, jumping into the river while still riding on the ATV and so forth.

Me being the adventure seeker that I am, I've tried riding the ATV plenty times before. Sure enough, the ride was so thrilling that I completely ignored the potential dangers such as rollovers. Thank God that nothing bad had happened to me. Imagine my petite frame being crushed by the big and heavy ATV *shudders at the thought*

Recently, Yamaha had to recall their Yamaha Rhino Side by Side (SxS) ATV as it has serious rollover risk and there were a lot of ATV riders that got injured as a result. I googled Yamaha Rhino Rollover and there were pages and pages of lawsuits regarding this issue. It's that serious.

The cause for the rollover is believed to be in the flawed design of the Yamaha Rhino such as high center of gravity, narrow wheel base, no doors on the passenger compartment, no handholds inside the passenger compartment and small tires.

The most common injuries were crushed leg (it's just instinct to stick your leg out to try and prevent the ATV from rolling over). Other injuries include broken arms and legs, as well as head spinal cord injuries. If you get crushed by an ATV, unlike what you see in cartoons, you can't pump your flatten body back into shape. You get crushed, it'll be a long painful process to nurse yourself back to health.

So if you or your friends have a Yamaha ATV, then please click on the following link to get more info about the Yamaha Rhino Rollover.

For the Moms-To-Be Out There

Scribbled by Perky |

When a girl friend of mine got pregnant, I was so thrilled that I wanted to learn all I could about pregnancy. We’ve known each other since we were teenagers and we’ve always been there for each other. So it was only natural for me to want to be there for her all the way during her pregnancy. Perhaps I was taking the role of being an aunt a bit too seriously (being over excited is such an understatement). I mean, I had almost transformed myself into becoming a human version of Google on pregnancy.

A woman undergoes many physical changes during her pregnancy. Most changes are welcomed; others (such as stretch marks and pregnancy acne) are not welcomed at all. Beaute de Maman is a health and beauty product line that helps to control those unwelcome changes. They are not only allergy and obstetrician tested, but also contain only natural herbal ingredients and are safe for both mother-to-be and her fetus.

Many Hollywood celebrity moms-to-be such as Chyler Leigh (who plays Lexie on Grey’s Anatomy) and Brooke Mueller Sheen (wife of actor Charlie Sheen) have been seen and heard referencing various products in the Beaute de Maman line.

If you’re an expectant mom and would like to keep those stretch marks and pregnancy acne at bay, you may order now for the products from Beaute de Maman.

A Box Full of Brown Goodness

Scribbled by Perky |

With Valentine’s Day just lurking around the corner, some of us will have panic attacks because we haven’t gotten a gift yet. These panic attacks are made worst especially if you have no idea as to what to get for your loved one. If there’s one gift that I think will always work no matter the circumstance, it is definitely chocolates.

But you don’t want to just give any kind of chocolate. Valentine’s Day is a special occasion, so you’d definitely want to go for gourmet chocolates. Gertrude Hawk Chocolates has one of the most delicious gourmet chocolates. Well, from what I read on Wikipedia, they’re the same company who supplies chocolates and confections to Nestle, The Hershey Company, Fannie May Candies and Marshall Field’s/Macy’s of Chicago.

So when you’re looking for the perfect Valentine Chocolate, think of chocolate smidgens, or a combination of dark and milk chocolates, CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES, caramel dipped apples, sugar-free candy, milk chocolate almonds! Oh my, oh my, oh my, just typing those things out has got me salivating. So can you imagine how happy your lover will be if they are to receive gourmet chocolates from you on Valentine's Day?

Review: ArchmailleDesigns.com

Scribbled by Perky |

If you’re looking for handcrafted jewelry either for yourself or as gifts to loved ones, you could give this jewelry store a try. At ArchmailleDesign.com, their products are guaranteed to be sterling silver jewelry, copper jewelry or chainmail armor and is 100% handcrafted by the artist, Cody Sortore.

After browsing through his website, I found Cody to be a man who really cares about the quality of his work. He buys his own material and crafts each piece himself (so these things are not mass produced, therefore ensuring quality control). The only thing he doesn’t make most of the time is the clasp, and even then his Italian-made clasps are forge with extremely high quality standards. He also tells you the benefits of wearing the material he uses. For instance wearing copper jewelry can help ease the pain of arthritis as well as keeping our immune system strong and healthy.

This easy-to-navigate jewelry store is definitely worth looking at if you’re searching for something special or you just love collecting jewelry.

Utilizing the Space that You Have

Scribbled by Perky |

Over the years, we tend to accumulate junk. Most times these so-called junk would end up in the storeroom or the garage. Many may not realize this but your garage can also be treated as an extension of your house. If you plan properly (or to save you from all that trouble, you could just call in the experts), you can actually maximize the space that you have by turning it into a garage storage. Not only will you have the extra space to keep your things, but it will also make your place tidier and more organized.

Traveller’s Guide: International Phone Calls

Scribbled by Perky |

When I left for my Australian trip in December, one thing that had "magically" slipped out of my mind was how expensive international roaming could be. Well, granted, that my mind was occupied with trying to not forget my passport.

But still, I thought it was good enough that my mobile phone could make calls when I’m overseas. Hah! Wait ‘til the bill comes, and you’ll be crying your eyes out.

So I learned a pretty expensive lesson, considering that I was making phone calls to McChef who was in Malaysia while I was basking away under the Australian sun.

Oh if only I had known how much I'd be saving with a calling card instead of depending on my international roaming service

So guys, if you’re going to be traveling or working overseas in the future, remember to bring along a calling card so you can keep in touch with people back home.

Let's say, you’re in Malaysia and you happen to be seeing someone from US and trying out that whole long distance relationship thing, having a calling card will definitely help reduce the stress in your relationship. Just check out how cheap it is for him/her to call you from the US. Now you guys can talk for hours and hours and not burn a big hole in your wallet ;)

Dare to Live Different

Scribbled by Perky |

On some evenings, I enjoy driving around a housing area and looking at the types of homes people have. I call it my little escape from reality before I head home to my tiny condo.

I love landed properties. Some people have really exquisite homes, while others just have a “huge box” for a home. But once in a while I’ll happen to drive by an area where all the houses look the same that I begin to wonder if I’m stuck inside the Matrix.

Don’t the residents feel a bit weird? I mean, if it were me living there, I might have trouble finding my own home, especially on nights where I’ve had too much to drink. Can you imagine being tackled to the ground by your neighbour because he thought you were some robber when really, you just got home to the wrong house?

So won’t it be nice to custom build our home? To build a home the way we imagined it? Of course you’ll have a hard time trying to find the best custom home builders. Sometimes it’s good to do your own research by reading unbiased opinions from others before you have gone through, just like the ones written for Schumacher Homes.

Schumacher Homes Reviews are opinions submitted by people who have had their homes custom-built by Schumacher Homes. When it comes to forking out money to make your house a better home, finding a good contractor is very important. That's why it's a good idea to read on the experiences of those who have tried the services provided by Schumacher Homes as that will let you know what to expect when engaging one of the most popular custom home builders in the U.S.

The Feline Fabulosity

Scribbled by Perky |

We can definitely thank Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat Dolls for making hooded jackets an "in" thing when their video Don’t Cha came out few years ago. Before that, I’ve always regarded the hooded jackets as something practical to wear and definitely not something that I see as fashionable. If you mentioned hip-hop and fashion, almost immediately I have mental images of baggy jeans, sweatshirts and oversized blings, which I don’t find to be very fashionable if you ask me.

In my opinion, when it comes to high-fashion feminine hip-hop styles, no one does it better than Kimora Lee Simmons with her Baby Phat collection. I’ve been watching her reality show semi-religiously and from what I’ve seen, I could tell that she’s very hands-on with her fashion line as her over-the-top personal style radiates through the Baby Phat collection.

Though they have practically everything from accessories to lingerie, it is their hip-hugging signature jeans that really stands out. Catering to ladies of all kinds of shapes and sizes, Baby Phat jeans represent everything that is feminine and fun, glitzy and glamorous.

But it is the BabyPhat Coats that caught my eye though, as it kinda looks like something Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl would wear. And you all know how much I worship Queen B.

The above trench coat with collar stand is currently on sale for less than $100. Anyone interested in buying me a belated Christmas gift? ;)

Promoting Fair Play in Music

Scribbled by Perky |

I’m a huge fan of music and it doesn’t matter what genre, as long as it’s good I’ll listen to it. I can’t help but wonder, how tough it must be to be an artist in this day and age. It can’t be easy getting signed to a major label and certainly must be even harder to deal with piracy (or what you and I call as "free downloading").

I know it’s morally wrong to download music when the person who labored very hard to make and get their record out isn’t getting paid for their hard work. But it’s hard to resist the temptation when there are websites letting us download music for free (and we all are suckers for free things, aren’t we?).

So it’s great that there’s Kerchoonz, which while it provides free music (streams and downloads), it also ensures that the artists and labels are getting paid (through advertising revenue). On top of that, they will also pay you for referring other bands and artists to their site (do you know of any friend who’s an aspiring musician or unsigned artist? Why not refer them to Kerchoonz where they can promote their music and you can get paid for “putting out the good word”? ;) )

Unknown

I'm already on Kerchoonz and I'm slowly building my playlist - been busy browsing through the music section (dear God, there are so many fantastic Indie bands out there!), watching videos, playing games, and seeing what gigs are coming up (unfortunately there's none that's close enough for me to attend). It almost feels like I’m on Facebook, except this time I belong to a unique social network for music lovers.

If you believe in promoting fair play, I encourage you to join Kerchoonz. Artists gets paid, while you can still listen and download music for free. It’s a win-win situation. I see there is great potential for Kerchoonz to be a real alternative to the pirates for free music.

Looking for a New Virtual Space?

Scribbled by Perky |

As I was going through the hassles of changing the layout for my blogsite, I encountered quite a number of issues with Blogspot. I hated that I was unable to create new pages (although there is a way to go about doing it, but that way is just too technical and tedious for me). And because of that, I have to depend heavily on widgets. Which are fine, except that using too many widgets will make the site look cluttered.

So I’ve been toying around the idea of getting my own dot com. Should I decide to make that leap of getting my own domain, I will definitely be reading up on web hosting reviews to see which web hosting service can best suit my needs.

There are so many great web hosting services out there, and at WebHostingGeeks.com there’s a section that lists down various categories such as Best Dedicated Hosting, Best Budget Hosting, and so on.

So it really boils down to the theme or direction of your website. I’d most likely look for something under Best Blog Hosting.

To help make your decision on which web hosting service to go with, you can always read up reviews from the webmaster or other customers. So you’ll be getting real feedback from people who’ve tried their services before you.

So if you do decide to get your own domain, do read up the web hosting reviews on WebHostingGeeks.com. A little bit of research in making sure you get the best hosting service that suits your requirements will do more good than harm. Afterall, no one wants a lousy service right?

Scribbled by Perky |

Times are getting tougher with everyone predicting more economic hardships in the near future. But for most of us, cutting back on expenses, even though it’s the sensible thing to do, will find it hard to readjust our lifestyle.

Some of us may feel that the eyeglasses we wear is an extension of our sense of fashion. Which is why some of us are willing to spend bucket loads of money for style. But now, just because you need to cut down on your expenses doesn’t mean you have to be less stylish. At Zenni Optical you can buy a stylish prescription glasses for as low as $8!

They offer a wide selection of frames, with bifocal lens, single vision lens, progressive lens, photochromic (sun sensor) lens and tinted sunglasses lens. It Can Be More Than Just Storage

Scribbled by Perky |

In my line of job I'm always looking for creative ways to do things. When your clients comprise of people from the corporate world, chances are they've already seen and been to similar functions. So it's always important to think outside the box in order to make my event more memorable.

One of the fun aspects in my job is thinking of what door gifts to give to our guests. Of course it'd be great if we had lots of money to throw but more often than not that is not always the case. So if I can turn a cheap gift into something that makes my guest go,"Oooh, this is cool!", then half my job is already done.

Take the flash drive, for instance. It's a popular door gift because it's cheap and it's useful. But let's face it, it doesn't make much of an impression to your guests if you just gave it out like that.

So here is where I get a bit creative. You can actually turn it into Personalized Flash Drives by making it as your invitation card to a, let's say, a party you're organizing. You can even further personalize the flash drive by having the names of your guests laser engraved onto it to make them feel special (and we all know how special everyone wants to feel, right?).

In the Personalized Flash Drives, you can have the location map to your party, the program, the dress code, etc etc. Whatever you want your guests to know about your party, you can have it all in the flash drive.

And the best part is you can also get your guests to be more involved in your party via that very same flash drive. For instance, you can ask your guests to upload their favorite music into the flash drive and bring it along to the party. Isn't it more fun when everyone contributes to making the party even more fun? :)

Personalized Flash Drives

It's personal touches like this that makes people remember you. Of course I could come up with more ways to make a simple gift even more interesting but I don't want to give out all my tricks away (at least not for free! Lol!) ;)

An Advisor to Make Your Shopping Safer

Scribbled by Perky |

I’ve never been one to get hooked to shopping online but I can certainly share the excitement that McChef had when he started going to eCommerce websites like eBay or PlayAsia to buy video games. He and my sis certainly share that “hobby” together as she too likes to shop online for her Japanese DVDs.

Unfortunately for McChef, he had to experience the ugly side of eBay: fraud. Last year my sis wanted to buy a limited edition PSP, which was sold out in most retail shops. Ever the nice guy, McChef decided to look for the item on eBay. He managed to find a seller and after reading other people’s comments about that particular seller (which was mostly good), he made the purchase.

Only, the PSP never got to us. And that started our nightmare. We lodged a police report, lodged a report on eBay, lodged a bank report (which led us to know that the seller was part of an online scam because his bank account was empty and his last transaction was made in another state). McChef did receive reimbursement from eBay but only half of what he paid for the PSP.

That was the problem. We didn’t know which seller to trust. We were not able to make informed online shopping decisions because there weren't anything else to help us other than the comments and ratings left by other people (who also turned out to be part of a scam group).

Thankfully now there are better ways to protect ourselves when we shop online. The buySAFE Shopping Advisor is a FREE browser plug-in that enables people like you and me to shop online safely and securely.

What is does is that it enables Retail Websites to display a meaningful trust signal (the buySAFE Seal) backed with a broad guarantee. Merchants who qualify to use the buySAFE Seal have passed the buySAFE Business Inspection, which ensure the merchant is trustworthy, reliable and committed to delivering on the terms of the sale. These merchants can then display the buySAFE Seal on item listings, which tells us buyers purchases are automatically protected with a bond guarantee of up to $25,000 and identity theft insurance. Additionally, all buySAFE Bonded Merchants agree to allow buySAFE to continuosly monitor their performance. This ensures a virtually risk-free shopping experience.

Buysafe_350x400__2

The buySAFE Shopping Advisor also provides Safe Shopping Ratings on more than 320,000 eCommerce sites in the search results of Google, Yahoo, MSN and eBay.

So guys, if you love to shop online, no harm in downloading this FREE buySAFE application. Afterall, isn’t it better to equip yourself with tools that can help you make safe and informed online shopping decisions?

Owning a Piece of History

Scribbled by Perky |

From time to time my mind would often wander off to a foreign place; somewhere that has thousands of miles of beaches where it’s warm year-round. I’d imagine myself walking through the town’s brick-lined streets and just admiring the townhouses with their wrought-iron balconies and long, wooden shutters. The hollow insides of many buildings enabling me to look right through them, while I browse through the many local handicraft stalls. A place that fits this description is Panama.

A place in Panama that is fast gaining momentum as the next hip tourist attraction is Casco Viejo (or Casco Antiguo as the area is officially known). It would be nice to have a place of your own when visiting this foreign city, such as the Hotel Casco Antiguo.

With interesting buildings and monuments dating to the Spanish colonial period surrounding it, the Hotel Casco Antiguois located at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Currently, this entire historic area is undergoing a major effort to restore the architecture and the culture of the area to reflect its 17th century roots.

Upon its completion, the restored Hotel Casco Antiguo will be a condominium-hotel with 34 rooms and a full complement of amenities. With open-air pool with panoramic rooftop views and a superior Mediterranean fusion restaurant, this is a the place to be when you need to go away and relax. Plus, you can always step out to enjoy the night-life and shopping.

Hotel-view01-old

It would make perfect sense to invest in an upcoming property such as the Hotel Casco Antiguo. I mean, why not? Foreigners in Panama have all the same property rights as its citizens, and you get to enjoy well-known investment benefits such as tax breaks, resident opportunies and usage of U.S. dollars. This place is a second home dream come true as the Hotel Casco Antiguo features the best of city life, luxurious relaxation, architecture and design, and historic influence. Going BINGO!

Scribbled by Perky |

I used to think that the game of Bingo was a game for senior citizens as that was what I had often watched on tv – if there’s a scene on the old folks at a retirement home, more often than not they’ll be playing Bingo.

But that perception of mine changed when I went to elementary school in UK. Everyday we had an hour which was devoted to either story-reading or playing boardgames. Apart from my music lessons, PE and swimming classes, I practically lived for this hour because we were each given our little box of milk and a snack, and basically just spend the hour having fun.

On some days it could be story-telling (where sometimes the principal himself would come in and read us a story) and other days it would be us forming groups playing Scrabble, Pictionary, Snakes & Ladders and so forth.

But on one particular day, my classroom teacher Ms Eckles said she had a game where all of us can take part, there was no need to form groups. In her hand was this curious-looking device that looked like a transparent ball and in it were many tiny balls. She handed a card of numbers to each of us, told us to take a highlighter each and sit down.

So there we were, learning to play Bingo. At first I was pretty slow in locating the numbers that were called out but as soon as I got the hang of it, I had my game face on. It was so nerve wrecking waiting for that one number I needed to call out ‘Bingo!’. And even more nerve wrecking when I saw my friends anxious to call out for ‘Bingo!’ too. We were playing for chocolate brownies that day, so you can imagine how competitive we all were. When our play time was over, a riot almost broke out because we wanted to continue on playing. "Please Ms Eckles, just one more!!", we screamed. It was that addictive.

Last year I attended a party and they had a game of Bingo. We were playing for electrical goods and just being in that moment made me realize that you’re never too young or too old to be playing Bingo.

Now we can start them off on Bingo as young as 2 years old. Screenlife Games came out with Disney Bingo DVD game that offers a high-tech twist by combining classic Bingo game play with Disney characters and movie clips. Available at Amazon.com or Drugstore.com, this Disney Bingo DVD game lets kids learn numbers and colors recognition as well as matching skills.

iLASIK, the New Technology

Scribbled by Perky |

Ever get tired of having to buy your monthly contact lenses, or getting replacements for your glasses (which, btw, is the 3rd time you’re doing it this year)? If you’re feeling bothered with the daily inconveniences of glasses and contact lenses, perhaps it’s time to consider an alternative: iLASIK procedure.

I can already hear the “Eews” and the “Oh no, no laser is going to be poked into my eyes!” Hehehehe… Of course I’m not going to randomly mention something without me conducting my research on the matter first. So here are some of the LASIK information I’ve gathered.

Modern LASIK, otherwise known as the iLASIK Procedure, is one of the most precise medical procedures performed today. Just like getting a tailor-made fine suit, the iLASIK procedure is tailor-made for you, your vision and the unique characteristics of your two eyes. 3D mapping, precise measurement and the use of 2 of the most advanced lasers differentiate the iLASIK procedure from all others.

After mapping the unique characteristics of the individual’s eyes using wave-front technology, the iLASIK procedure then uses 2 computer-guided lasers (instead of 1 as in earlier generations of LASIK). The first, ultra-fast laser creates a thin corneal flap which is then folded back to allow the second laser to correct your vision based on the exact measurement of your eye. So as you can see, the handheld microkeratome blade (which was used in older forms of LASIK) has been replaced by laser, which gives you outstanding safety as a result of reduced flap complications.

It is this very same LASIK technology advances used in the iLASIK procedure that convinced the U.S. military and NASA to encourage their mission-critical personnel to undergo iLASIK procedure, where 95% in 100 U.S. military personnel achieved 20/20 uncorrected vision or better. “The Department of Defense (DOD) and NASA have validated the fact that today’s LASIK exceeds all established standards of safety and effectiveness,” said Steven Schallhorn, M.D., a retired U.S. Navy captain and leader of clinical research and studies done for the DOD regarding the use of LASIK.

So if the guys flying F-16s or getting blasted out into space on shuttle rockets are convinced by this technology and benefiting from it, then we regular people (who btw considers driving at 90km/h daily as our most extreme lifestyle) might wanna look into this procedure too.

20 minutes of virtually painless and affordable procedure compared to a lifetime of buying, cleaning and caring for your contact lenses… hmm… which would you choose?

Shopping at the Tip of Your Fingers

Scribbled by Perky |

Every girl loves to shop. But if you’re like me, though I do enjoy the occassional shopping spree, I don’t enjoy having to physically go to the store & endure the long queues, or wait while the shop assistant runs into the storeroom to look for my shoe size.

Nowadays, I even stay away from going to shopping malls because finding a parking spot is near impossible and it’s just a waste of petrol being stuck in traffic jams.

So I’ve found an alternative: To shop online from U.S. retailers. It makes sense, doesn’t it? The “shop” is available to you 24/7, you can compare prices or get the product reviews without ever leaving your home or office and the selection is unbeatable.

Yeah, I know, some of you are most probably going,”Hmm... but isn’t it expensive to get the items shipped here?”

Not if you use the package forwarding services provided by Access USA at MyUS.com website. As we are well aware of, many US retailers will not ship overseas and the ones that do, well, they normally charge very high shipping rates for international shipping.

So what Access USA does is they provide you with a genuine US street address that the US retailers will accept as a valid shipping destination (and btw, having a USA address can also bypass potential international shipping hurdles).

If you’re an account holder at Access USA, they help you save money in more ways than one:
• You can save up to 70% on international shipping.
• They will consolidate multiple purchases into one sturdy shipment, which will save you more on international shipment costs than having each package sent individually.

Also, if you don’t want to waste time and just get your stuff, you can even treat MyUS.com website as your personal shopper service provider. You just tell them what you want to order and they will buy the goods for you. They accept wire transfers, payment through PayPal and can take major credit cards with foreign billing address and/or issued by a non-U.S. bank or other financial institution. Of course, there’s a small fee for the service and a slight markup on the purchase to pay for processing your credit card payment, but it’s still a cheaper alternative.

Shopping on the internet can be so much easier at MyUS.com website.

Designer Lingerie - A Must Have for the Ladies

Scribbled by Perky |

I have a weakness for Lingerie. Every time I pass by a Lingerie shop, I’ll be like,”Ooh, that’s pretty. I need to have that!” Need being the operative word here. I could spend a bomb on Lingerie but I’ll be a bit more reserved with my money when it comes to regular clothes or everyday wear.

For instance, when I go for meetings, I’d often opt to wear Lingerie underneath my office attire. I feel that it gives me the added confidence, like it gives me that extra ‘oomph’. I feel strong, I feel confident and I feel sexy. And when I’m feeling that way inside, it really shows in the way I present myself. Hahaha, that’s my secret to being a confident lady – wear Lingerie!

Since I’m always on the lookout for Lingerie, there is this great Designer Lingerie website called Boudiche. Boudiche is actually luxury lingerie brand that is based in Scotland. But if you’re buying from their website Boudiche.com, your lingerie is hand selected and gift wrapped before being shipped to its destination. Their lingerie selection is not only glamorous, but more importantly wearable.

I’m a C cup and even then I sometimes have difficulties finding lingerie that will fit my size. So I can imagine what a nightmare it can be for ladies with larger cups. But at Boudiche, they have the prettiest styles and fabulous range of stunning Designer Lingerie and swimwear for the larger cup size to a GG cup.

Freya Lingerie is a popular choice at Boudiche, as its designs are fresh, uses modern colours and is a fabulous fit. The Freya range is available up to a J cup size! Fayreform Lingerie also caters to the larger-cup woman and are exclusively for D-cups and above. One of their best selling larger cup size brands in the boutique, Fayreform’s designs are chic and romantic.

Ladies, take a peak at the Boudiche website and treat yourself to some fabulous designer underwear and bra (I’ve been eyeing the Marie Jo Marlene Thong Rouge for quite some time now). It’s also a great place to buy gifts, bridal lingerie and maternity lingerie (who says you can’t look sexy when pregnant?). Go ahead and indulge yourselves!
