I suppose the whole craze about magic started with the great Harry Houdini. When he performed his straitjacket escape in front of the crowd, Houdini created a moment of wonder that everyone just felt connected with him. Then came this guy called David Copperfield who was huge back in the 80’s. Until today, I’m still wondering how he made the Statue of Liberty disappear. However, after David Copperfield, there wasn’t any other magician or illusionist who was as memorable or as popular with crowd.
That is, until Criss Angel came along. This guy is on a class of his own. He has floated between two buildings, levitated above the Luxor hotel, made a Lamborghini vanish and cutting himself in half in full view of an audience. Somehow the one trick that keeps popping in my mind is Criss Angel walking on water. He’s even performed this trick on that hit TV show Las Vegas.
Oh, and speaking of Las Vegas, guess who’s coming to town. Yeap, you guessed it. Criss Angel is going to debut the newest Cirque du Soleil show called CRISS ANGEL Believe. Held at Luxor Hotel and Casino, I bet this latest show is going to top all the other shows he’s done. Unlike the traditional magic-themed shows, CRISS ANGEL Believe has the elements of mysticism, illusion and fantasy. There’ll even be fantastical creatures and impossible feats of legerdemain! Now how cool is that?
So if you happen to be in Vegas sometime in September, then you cannot miss this show. You can purchase your tickets here or here. I’d so go for the show but I don’t have the money. Oh, if only the Text Message contest was still open, I’d definitely would’ve tried to win 2 free tickets to CRISS ANGEL Believe.
Anyways, do check out the website by clicking the link below for more information about the show. As for me, I guess I’ll have to wait ‘til the DVD comes out in a few years time (if there's even going to be any!).

early in my youth, when everybody supposed to smoke weeds, i was watching a magic show on tv while i was stoned, and i swear that i knew how the magic was done. but when i got sober, i forgot how it was done. i still believe that magic tricks can be solve with a stoned-head, the problem is that i'm over with getting high.
Ooh... Magic. It's so nice to watch and get surprised.

Shit that's crazy! I was a stoner years ago but I never figured out any tricks. What a talent you got there. Lol! Anyways, it's good that you've kicked that old habit though :)

I'd really like watch a live magic show though. That's an experience that tv can't replicate.
